From the perspective of a trustee:

Over the summer months, our news feeds may have seemed quiet, but the reality is that we’ve all been focused on our individual lives and responsibilities, as well as our shared dedication to the dogs. Whether it’s caring for them, training, or moving forward with the necessary paperwork, we’ve been diligently working to ensure our rescue meets all the requirements for charity registration.

Registered Charity No 1209919

Securing our charity status has been a monumental achievement for us, and we’re genuinely excited about what lies ahead. When Xena first came into our lives almost a year ago—so malnourished that the vet initially thought she was a puppy—we couldn’t have imagined that this would be the start of something so significant. Five people coming together to make a difference—it’s truly inspiring.

This milestone has opened ‘some’ doors and provided us with the structure to do what we do best. However, the reality is that the hard work starts now. We must:

  • Organize the administrative side of things,
  • Keep the momentum going,
  • Ensure each dog receives the best care possible,
  • Raise the necessary funds,
  • Build networks, and
  • Bring in the right people to support our mission.

The list of needs is long, and the list of wants is even longer, but we’re determined to make it happen.

As trustees, we’ve come to understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses, and we’ve established a strong, trusting dynamic—something that only benefits the dogs in our care.

At this stage, we kindly ask for your support. If you, or anyone in your network—friends, colleagues, or associates—can make a donation, no matter how small, or if you have dog-related items to donate, we would be truly grateful. Additionally, if you have the relevant breed experience and would like to foster, please get in touch. Your help would mean the world to us and the dogs.

———-Thank you.
